The Mount Kisco Day Care Centers, Inc. is a New York State licensed center providing all-day care and education for children ages 3 months to 5 years, regardless of race, color, sex, religion or national origin.  It also provides a before-school program for the children of Mt. Kisco Elementary School only and an after-school program for kindergarten children and for first through fifth grade children attending any Bedford School.  School-age children are cared for full time during school vacations and the summer months.  The Center operates 51 weeks of the year.  Presently, the Center closes for the week before Labor Day.

A breakfast, hot lunch and mid-afternoon snack are provided, fulfilling 2/3 of a child's daily nutritional requirements. The Flying Pig Farm Market Cafe/Hudson Valley Edible Art Food Service will provide your children with freshly prepared foods at the Mount Kisco Day Care Center. The mission of Flying Pig is to create delicious meals from a variety of seasonal foods produced bylocal natural farmers and artisans. All the the meats, grains, cheeses and milk served are organic. This means that the food they eat is not only healthy, but also free of chemicals and pesticides. Your children will be able to enjoy delicious meals prepared daily with all of the nutrients they need to learn and grow. We take seriously the responsibility of feeding your children and teaching them good eating habits. The foods your children are eating now will shape the development of their future eating patterns.

The Center has an educational program that meets the standards of New York State licensing, and coincides with developmentally appropriate practices as set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

The Mount Kisco Day Care Centers, Inc. accepts children who will be age 3 months through fifth grade at the time of enrollment.  While most children participate in the program full time, i.e. at least 6 hours a day, 5 days per week, part time participation in the programs may be available, at the discretion of the Director.

In deciding to enroll a child at the Center, parents must make an appointment with the Director to visit the program.  Once the decision to enroll a child has been made, a completed and signed application on file holds a place on the waiting list. NOTE: Once your child is accepted for enrollment, a $100 non-refundable registration fee and first month’s tuition is required.

The initial enrollment meeting takes place with the Director.  The parent or legal guardian is asked to bring the following:
a. A completed Medical Form of physical examination within the last 60 days, signed by your physician.
b. A Birth Certificate for us to copy (and proof of legal guardianship, if applicable).
c. 4 recent consecutive pay stubs and documentation of any other income, if you would like to apply for our Scholarship Assistance.
d. One month's tuition payment plus a small annual accident insurance fee is submitted at this time.
e. The completed Pre-Enrollment questionnaire (to be discussed with your child's teacher during the first month).
f. The New York State Child and Adult Food Program Enrollment Form, filled out and signed.
g. Emergency Release Form, completed and signed where applicable.
h. Contract will be signed at this meeting.

Re-enrollment is necessary each year.  All forms must be updated.  For families receiving scholarship assistance, updated enrollment is done every six months.
