Infants and Toddlers
Infants learn through everyday experiences with the warm and responsive support from their parents and teachers. Together, parents and staff schedule the day to meet the individual needs of each child. This trusting relationship and open communication ensures that each child is responded to in the best way possible. Children alternate between active exploration as part of a group and individual attention during feeding, toileting and naptimes throughout the day.
Toddlers spend their day engaged in activities and experiences designed to meet their emerging skills in language, social awareness and self help with the solid support of a patient and caring teaching staff. This program sets the foundation for later learning in the preschool years. These children are active participants in the Edible Education project planting rows of seeds and using all their senses in discovering new foods. The Toddler program is also a popular hit for dancing with the “Grandmas and Grandpas” each day.
