School Age

The school age program has two components: a before-school program for working parentswhere children are transported by bus to the Bedford Central schools and an after-school program for children that are dropped off in the afternoon. This program is critical for working parent's full day schedule. The staff recognizes the importance of providing a relaxed environment for children after a long structured school day. However, time is allowed every day for children to complete their homework. They are also busy with the gardens and the older adults, particularly in the summer months and during vacation weeks.
